Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer I will lead and drive specific projects critical to Checkout's needs across the full-stack, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. You will define and design loosely coupled, scalable systems in a microservices environment, mentor junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies used by Checkout. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality code within tight deadlines, with a focus on payments/fintech domains and opportunities to switch teams as the business grows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience working in agile environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Interest in AI technologies or AI proficiency
