Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer at Handshake AI to own the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact deployments—from scoping complex technical requirements to architecting, building, and scaling solutions that directly improve customer workflows and model performance. You will work across the stack in fast-changing environments, partner with AI labs and cross-functional teams, design and deliver production-grade systems, mentor engineers, make key architectural decisions around reliability, scalability, and security, and rapidly prototype and iterate based on real-time feedback. The role emphasizes technical leadership, customer-facing engagement, and driving repeatable deployment patterns, with a focus on building scalable AI-enabled data services and infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency with ReactJS and TypeScript
- Relational databases experience (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and deployment pipelines
- Production operations at scale
- Ability to lead technical projects end-to-end in ambiguous environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Mentoring engineers and raising engineering practices
