Senior Software Engineer - Guidewire Certified

Job Summary
Lead Senior Software Developer to spearhead Guidewire Cloud design and implementation efforts (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter) for an insurance-focused organization. Serve as the technical authority on Guidewire while mentoring engineering staff, driving secure coding practices, and upholding high standards for security and stability. Roles may be Omaha-based (50% hybrid) or fully remote for highly experienced candidates outside Omaha; travel to Omaha may be expected for non-local hires. Core stack includes .NET/C#, Angular, SQL, and Azure Cloud, with preference for Guidewire Cloud and InsuranceSuite Ace status; Umbraco CMS experience a plus. Responsibilities include solution design, architecture collaboration, security risk mitigation, and promoting modern development practices (DevOps, SOA, Agile). Authorized to work without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Guidewire Developer Ace Certification (PolicyCenter or BillingCenter strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience leading software development teams
- Core technical competencies: .NET, C#, Angular, SQL, Azure Cloud
Desired Qualifications
- Guidewire Developer Ace Certification (PolicyCenter or BillingCenter strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, with a proven track record of leading software development teams
- Proficiency in .NET, C#, Angular, SQL, and Azure Cloud
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations and InsuranceSuite Developer Ace status (preferred)
- Umbraco CMS experience a significant plus
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and Agile / Waterfall / SOA
