Job Summary
Join Vannevar as a Senior Software Engineer focused on the design and implementation of the Decision Advantage product. You will develop advanced features for information distillation, analysis, and visualization, transforming complex intelligence requirements into intuitive workflows supporting national security. Your responsibilities include building a cutting-edge identity search platform using TypeScript, React, Tailwind, and Node.js, and partnering with diverse stakeholders to enhance user workflows. Candidates must have over 5 years of experience, with expertise in key technologies and search engines, contributing to mission-critical work in defense technology.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and AWS
- Hands-on experience with at least one major search engine (e.g., Elasticsearch, OpenSearch)
- Prior experience working in a user-facing product role
Desired Qualifications
- Active Security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Prior experience developing AI-native products
- Understanding of search concepts like indexing, ranking, query parsing, and tokenization
