Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack, US Remote

Job Summary
Evolving APIs supporting user flows, optimizing relational database schemas for performance, and implementing algorithms for monetary transaction evaluation and risk management. Integrate with third-party APIs to serve millions of customers, build new mobile and web clients, and automate visual testing processes. Decrease customer service workload by improving internal automations and A/B testing features that boost the bottom line. Own features from start to finish across frontend and backend using React, React Native, and Java services on Google Cloud. Work with a small, nimble team to scale the platform from 100k to 10 million users while proposing new design paradigms and technical directions.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of industry experience as a software engineer
- REST based services and API development experience mainly using Java
- Experience building UI/UX for new features from end-to-end using React or React Native
- Up-to-date grasp of the constantly evolving JS language standards, ES6 and beyond (we use Typescript)
- Experience with SQL databases, constructing schemas, performing migrations and writing analytical queries
- Experience leading teams or mentoring junior engineers
- You are a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently and manage multiple projects under minimal supervision
- NYC-based folks who can join us in the office 2–3 days a week
- Candidates located in the EST or CT time zones who can work East Coast hours
Desired Qualifications
- GraphQL experience a plus
- Kubernetes, Docker or other container system experience is a plus
- Quantitative skills, knowledge or experience in Finance is a plus
