Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer, Full stack to design, architect, and implement the critical services of Skylo’s Connectivity Platform. Contribute to building cloud services that ingest and process heavy data streams, design and implement distributed microservices, REST APIs, and scalable databases. Build a powerful web portal using modern frameworks (React or Angular) for data visualization, dashboards, and widgets. Work with backend languages (Python, Go, Java), messaging systems (Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub), and databases (SQL/NoSQL). Define and implement REST APIs, Swagger/Postman tooling, and contribute to deployment with Jira, Jenkins, and GCP. Help drive observability using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry, and continuously adopt technologies to improve performance and developer productivity.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of professional software development experience
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python, Java or Go
- Strong frontend development experience with React.js or Angular.js
- Experience with cloud technologies and distributed microservices
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with REST APIs and gRPC
- Experience with messaging brokers like Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools
- Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lead technical discussions
