Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer to build the PSA Liquidity Platform, a product suite that connects supply and demand across our marketplace (PSA Partner Offers and the eBay Consignment platform). You will own the technical design and delivery of end-to-end buyer and seller experiences, build a next-generation buyer platform with targeting and analytics, develop a real-time matching engine, design scalable microservices and event-driven architectures, and drive cross-functional execution with product, design, data, and engineering teams. The role emphasizes AI-first development, end-to-end ownership, and collaboration to maximize GMV, conversion, and offer-to-sale velocity while ensuring a high-quality, observable production system. You will contribute across the stack (frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data) and participate in strategy-to-execution planning, stakeholder alignment, and delivering measurable impact in a fast-moving environment.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- Track record of designing, shipping, and scaling 0-to-1 products with measurable business impact
- Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and modern frontend frameworks (React and Svelte) with fluency across the stack
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems including microservices and Kafka-based event-driven architectures; familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS
- Observability mindset with experience building dashboards and using monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic, OpenTelemetry)
- Experience working on AI-first initiatives and applying AI tooling across the SDLC
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to align engineers, product partners, and stakeholders
- Ownership mindset and ability to handle end-to-end ownership across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, self-directed environment
- Bonus: passion for collecting and domain knowledge of the collectibles market
