Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js while building scalable Backend-for-Frontend services and APIs. Drive frontend architecture decisions, evolve reusable UI component libraries, and partner with Product, UX, and Design teams to implement branded user interfaces. Contribute to cloud-native application architecture on AWS, implement comprehensive testing strategies, and lead code and architectural reviews. Mentor engineers, troubleshoot production issues, and take ownership of projects from concept through production within the Commerce organization's Messaging team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5 - 8 years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with the MERN stack
- Extensive experience with React, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong understanding of front-end engineering principles and performance optimization
- Experience building APIs and Backend-for-Frontend services using Node.js
- Experience with AWS and serverless architectures
- Experience with DynamoDB and MongoDB
- Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Jest, Playwright, and automated testing frameworks
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building dashboards, monitoring, and analytics tools
- Familiarity with design systems and component-driven development
- Experience using Figma and collaborating with UX teams
- Experience building scalable cloud-native applications
- Exposure to global engineering teams
