Senior Software Engineer for Simulator Visualisation Solutions (d/f/m)

Job Summary
Design and develop software architecture for visualization or database preparation building blocks, deriving system requirements from operational needs for Engineering and Training Simulation systems. Drive development methodologies, toolchains, and workflows while performing code reviews and supporting the developer community. Create tools for improving development processes, such as CI/CD pipelines and test automation, and integrate components with overall Simulator systems and Image Generator software. Perform automated unit and subsystem tests of software building blocks and document appropriate modules. Work in an international team in Manching, Germany, requiring a security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Master in computer science, games engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in software development and architectural design with a proven track record
- Knowledge of object orientated programming and scripting languages, in particular C/C++ and python
- Experience with development and maintenance of DevOps/CI/CD solutions
- Very good English knowledge
- This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in flight simulators, visualisation technology, software development and integration
- Aeronautical background and/or experience with simulators, synthetic environments, geodata (especially OGC CDB) and/or visual systems (Image Generators)
- German language proficiency
- Other languages would be a plus
