Job Summary
Design and implement the architecture, design, and integration of a robust, deterministic flight training simulator for a piloted air taxi. Manage software development efforts across the Instructor Operating Station, After-Action Review station, motion-base, sound, and Image Generator systems while integrating external interfaces from third-party suppliers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, data scientists, and pilots to build a high-fidelity training device for a fully electric aircraft. The role requires expert C++ and multi-threaded systems knowledge within a small, fast-moving team preparing for FAA certification and commercial launch in the US and Dubai.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in computer science or computer engineering
- 7+ years' industry experience
- An advanced degree and 5+ years' experience
- Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming methodology
- Expert knowledge of multi-layered system architectures
- Expert knowledge of C++
- Expert knowledge of multi-threaded systems
- Experience with modern integrated development environments and debuggers
- Basic understanding of version control technologies
- Exposure to python
