Senior Software Engineer (Fintech Platform)

Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer to shape backend microservices for Payments, Disbursements, or GRC in Félix Fintech Platform. Architect and implement scalable backend services, build payment and disbursement workflows, and enhance regulatory-compliance tooling. Collaborate with product, operations, and compliance to deliver holistic financial solutions. Mentor junior developers and promote best practices across the engineering team. Leverage a tech stack including Python (Flask/FastAPI), REST APIs, gRPC, React frontend, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, and NewRelic/PagerDuty. Focus areas include secure, high-performance financial systems, onboarding/KYC/AML workflows, and scalable infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests. Must have strong fundamentals in algorithms/data structures, experience with microservices architecture, and a passion for delivering impactful fintech products.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of building, shipping, and iterating on software applications in the Fintech domain
- Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures
- Experience designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs
- Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and practices like A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts
- Domain expertise in payments, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms
- Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes
- Excellent collaboration and prioritization skills in a team-oriented environment
- Curiosity and/or experience in Fintech is a plus
