Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer to shape the core architecture of Félix's Fintech Platform, working within one of three squads (Payments, Disbursements, or GRC) to build, optimize, and scale backend microservices for secure, high-performance financial operations. You will design and implement scalable backend systems, integrate with Google Cloud services, and collaborate with product, operations, and compliance teams. Responsibilities include platform architecture, payments/disbursements workflow design, onboarding/KYC/compliance in GRC, infrastructure and scalability, cloud integration, cross-functional collaboration, mentorship of junior developers, and continuous improvement of platform capabilities. Tech stack exposure includes Python (Flask/FastAPI), REST APIs, Redis, SQL, gRPC, React frontend, and cloud/infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, NewRelic, PagerDuty) with a focus on secure, scalable financial services and adherence to regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of building, shipping, and iterating software applications
- Experience designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs
- Familiarity with architectural patterns (Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture) and practices (A/B Testing, Feature Flags, Gradual Rollouts)
- Domain expertise in payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms is highly desirable
- Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes
- Excellent collaboration and prioritization skills in a team-oriented environment
- Fluency or advanced English for professional communication
- Curiosity and/or experience in Fintech is a plus
