Senior Software Engineer (FinCore)

Job Summary
Develop and optimize the multi-currency accounting system and foreign currency exchange services for the FinCore platform, taking full ownership of product initiatives from discovery to delivery. Collaborate with engineering leaders to design new components using the RFC process, establish standard APIs, and integrate external systems while maintaining rigorous unit and integration test coverage. Mentor less experienced team members to increase overall effectiveness and manage legacy code to reduce technical debt. Participate in an occasional on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system reliability and contribute to CI Jenkins pipelines and Terraform infrastructure deployments.
Required Qualifications
- extensive experience in developing complex software systems
- Experience in FinTech, banking, or another closely related sector, with a strong understanding of financial systems and building within a regulated environment
- ability to communicate clearly and concisely your ideas in English, both written and spoken
- proficiency in establishing standard APIs
- incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services
- strong expertise in integrating external systems
- ability to keep legacy code running and make improvement proposals once comfortable with workflows
- code to be testable and well covered with unit and integration tests
- contribution to CI Jenkins pipelines and terraform for the deployment of services and infrastructure
- Participation in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system reliability and response to critical incidents
- Málaga Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
