Job Summary
Build and maintain features across the full stack, including React web applications, React Native mobile apps for iOS and Android, and a Python/Django backend. Design and implement REST APIs that handle real-world conditions like intermittent connectivity, while writing clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage. Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical plans, and contribute to architecture decisions for new systems. Mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, then participate in on-call rotations to take ownership of production issues. Help improve development workflows and tooling to enhance team effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience building backend services and APIs
- Experience with Django or a similar Python web framework
- Experience building web applications with React
- Experience building mobile applications with React Native for iOS and Android
- Comfortable working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
- You communicate clearly, give and receive feedback well, and care about the quality of what you ship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building offline-first or connectivity-resilient mobile applications
- Experience with Django REST Framework
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience with feature flagging systems and incremental rollout strategies
- Experience using AI agents to accelerate development workflows
- Background in construction, workforce management, or field operations software
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects
- Experience with performance optimization for mobile applications on constrained devices or networks
