Senior Software Engineer, Fiat Payments & Banking Infrastructure

Job Summary
Senior+ Software Engineer to architect and build fiat payment rails (ACH, RTP, FedNow, SEPA) and banking infrastructure. Lead architectural design and hands-on development of global fiat payment rails, architect and scale API integrations with banking partners, design robust treasury management software for internal operations, and develop internal tooling in an event-driven microservices environment using Golang. Responsibilities include responding to production issues, ensuring high availability of payment gateways, and direct communication with banking partners and client technical teams to resolve complex integration issues. Required skills include Golang production experience, deep understanding of fiat networks, advanced SQL/schema design for high-throughput financial ledgers, and experience with bank API integrations; strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to operate with ambiguity. Preferred qualifications include a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, experience in banking-as-a-service/payments, treasury-management or automated ledgering systems, crypto infrastructure experience, and distributed systems tooling (Kafka, ZeroMQ, or NATS). Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience in Payments/FinTech/BaaS infrastructure
- Deep proficiency with Golang in production
- Experience with fiat networks and clearing systems (ACH, RTP, FedNow, SEPA, Swift)
- Strong SQL and database design for high-throughput ledgers
- Experience integrating bank APIs and payment processors
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment
