Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer, Exchange role focused on designing, building, and scaling the core exchange infrastructure including order matching, trade execution, and data feeds (REST, FIX, WebSockets). Responsible for latency, reliability, and accuracy across critical paths, building fast APIs, robust clearing, position management, and margining, and driving performance improvements. Emphasis on end-to-end ownership with high-impact contributions and collaboration with market makers and traders. Bonus points for background in sports, fantasy, or gaming; target starting base salary $160k–$240k plus equity.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Proficiency in high-performance, low-latency systems
- Strong command of programming languages such as C, Rust, C++, Go, Java (or similar)
- Experience designing/building exchange infrastructure, APIs (REST, FIX, WebSockets), order matching, trade execution, data feeds, market data
- Experience in performance profiling and optimizing latency across databases and services
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership
- Experience in TradeFi, prediction markets, crypto exchange infrastructure or SOR is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to own components end-to-end and drive results
