Senior Software Engineer, Events Analytics Platform

Senior Software Engineer for the Events Analytics Platform (EAP) at Sentry. You will lead and expand the team’s data visibility capabilities, architect and automate scalable services, and shape the infrastructure that powers Sentry’s time-series data and search across billions of events. Key focus areas include building on top of our storage layer (e.g., ClickHouse, Snuba) to improve speed, reliability, and developer experience, while driving architectural trade-offs and contributing to design decisions. Ideal candidates will have deep backend/infrastructure experience, experience with distributed storage and streaming systems, and strong collaboration skills to work with Product and other Engineering teams. The role is based in Toronto or fully remote in Canada, with a base CAD salary range of CA$200k–CA$295k. The role emphasizes solving hard problems at scale and improving the maintainability of the team’s codebases.
