Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining ERP modules using Informix 4GL and COBOL, refactoring legacy code for maintainability and performance, building APIs and wrapper services for modern system integrations, managing Informix database schemas and SQL queries, supporting ERP workflows (Order Management, Inventory, Fulfillment), collaborating with business analysts, documenting legacy logic, planning migrations to modern platforms (e.g., Manhattan Active), and providing incident resolution with CI/CD practices for legacy systems in a retail/supply-chain ERP environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Informix 4GL and Informix SQL
- Experience with COBOL for ERP development
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments (AIX preferred)
- Hands-on experience with ERP domains: Order Management, Inventory, Fulfillment
- Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and batch-driven workflows
