Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer (SRE Focus) on Engineering Enablement to build and evolve internal platforms, services, and toolchains that power engineering workflows across Motional. You’ll partner across teams to improve reliability, performance, scalability, and observability of distributed systems, manage AWS/GCP spend with cost-saving strategies, monitor system health, contribute to architecture decisions and technical roadmaps, and drive developer productivity through scalable backend services, CI/CD pipelines, and platform tooling.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and work experience
- 5+ years in SRE, DevOps related roles
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong background in modern programming languages (Python, Go, C++)
- Expertise in software development lifecycle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
