Job Summary
Embed with business teams across BETA to identify, scope, and solve operational and technical problems by partnering directly with stakeholders to understand complex needs. Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications, internal tools, and APIs that address real business needs, leveraging AI and LLM technologies to accelerate development and build intelligent workflows. Translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs, assess feasibility, and communicate tradeoffs while surfacing new demand for intake and prioritization. Maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and long-term adoption, fostering continuous improvement by learning from past mistakes. This role requires on-site presence at BETA facilities as needed to support embedded teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in modern full-stack development (e.g., React/TypeScript and Python or Node.js)
- Experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
- Experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt rapidly to changing requirements
- The ability to work on-site at BETA facilities as needed to embed with the teams you support
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience at a startup or in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment
- Experience building internal tools and enterprise applications
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industry
- Experience with enterprise system integrations (ERP, HRIS, PLM, QMS)
