Job Summary
Lead the design and implementation of new frontend and backend user interfaces while optimizing existing capabilities and CI/CD pipelines. Partner with internal users to gather UI/UX feedback for continuous improvement and set up sandbox environments for technology incubation. Optimize backend and frontend performance, manage source control, and maintain effective communication with engineering peers, leadership, and customers. This onsite role at Collins Aerospace focuses on developing world-class automation tools to drive digital transformation across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience (if holding Advanced Degree)
- Practical experience in all aspects/phases the software engineering product lifecycle
- Experience with one or more web frontend development frameworks: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, Angular, Next, Nuxt
- Experience with one or more API development frameworks: Node.JS/Express, Python/Flask/FastAPI, Java/Sprint
- Onsite work location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with database integration: SQL, MongoDB
- Experience with the following programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Python, Java, Go
- Experience with dashboarding: Grafana, PowerBI, Tableau
- Experience with Source Control Management: GitHub or GitLab, Git
- Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava
- Experience with networking protocols and IT infrastructure
- Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices
