Senior Software Engineer, DevOps

Job Summary
Lead the design of DevOps strategy and manage Kubernetes clusters for domain services, ensuring high reliability, security, and cost optimization across global systems. Build and enhance tooling platforms to empower engineering teams with improved self-service capabilities while developing observability and detection systems to reduce time to problem discovery. Establish consensus among DevOps Engineers across geographies on tools and practices, evolving them into agreed standards that balance speed with rigor. Support the Infrastructure & Productivity team's mission to make global engineering work faster and safer by managing core platforms from CI/CD pipelines to observability.
Required Qualifications
- DevOps or Infra engineer with hands-on experience with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g. Python, Ansible, Shell)
- 6+ years working with large, distributed systems
- Expertise in at least one public cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Expertise in large-scale Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and services
- Operations background running production Kubernetes environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- This role is based in Seoul, South Korea
Desired Qualifications
- Istio or other service mesh experience, including traffic management
- Service registry / service discovery experience
- Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi)
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with observability/monitoring systems (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
