Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer responsible for end-to-end ownership of systems spanning data ingestion, distributed compute, APIs, and UI dashboards. Build and operate Go/Python data collectors, CDC jobs, and React/Next.js interfaces; integrate with blockchains/exchanges; drive CI/CD, IaC, observability, and security. Collaborate with PMs, quants, accountants, and portfolio-company founders to ship production-ready software in a fast-moving digital assets investment environment. Hybrid work with 2–3 days/week onsite in San Diego (Del Mar area).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and operating complex and performant production systems
- Frontend and backend experience with React/TypeScript
- Proficiency in at least one compiled language (Go preferred)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and a major cloud provider
- Familiarity with blockchain concepts (EVM, smart contracts, on-chain data) or strong desire to ramp in DeFi space
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver elegant solutions to tough problems
- Nice to Have: Solidity or Rust smart contracts, background in quantitative finance or low-latency trading
- Experience with data ingestion, real-time data processing, and data pipelines
- Experience with API design and distributed systems
