Job Summary
Senior data engineer leading complex data projects for Ads Analytics. Responsible for scale and performance engineering of terabytes of advertising data, building and maintaining ETL pipelines with Spark and AWS, and designing scalable data processing systems and back-end services (Python/Go). Own data quality through monitoring, alerting, and Terraform-managed AWS infrastructure, while applying CI/CD practices and clean-code standards. Lead cross-functional collaboration with analysts, product managers, and stakeholders, mentor team members, and deliver end-to-end data solutions including user-facing dashboards and data visualizations. The role emphasizes ownership of data systems, collaboration with leadership, and delivering robust data solutions across batch and real-time analytics.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Very strong hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, etc.)
- Proficiency with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
- Strong experience with Python for building data processing services and APIs
- Expert-level SQL for data processing and analytics
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience designing scalable data architectures and data modeling
- Experience creating analytics dashboards in BI tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense, Power BI)
- GenAI tools experience beneficial (GitHub Copilot, Claude)
