Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer responsible for building and scaling high-throughput APIs and services (50M+ daily events), owning features end-to-end from design to production, and influencing core architecture in a high-scale, enterprise SaaS data privacy platform. Responsibilities include improving system performance, reliability, and security; contributing to architecture decisions and technical direction; mentoring junior engineers toward leadership roles. Required skills include 6–10 years of backend or full-stack experience, strong API and distributed-systems fundamentals, hands-on experience with modern web stacks (e.g., JavaScript + OOP backend), and the ability to operate in a hybrid DC-area role (relocation supported). The role offers a defined path to Director-level leadership, a base salary in the 110k–150k range plus a 20k retention bonus, equity, relocation support, and comprehensive benefits. The tech stack includes JavaScript, Python, PHP/Java/C++, React, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, AWS, Docker, among others.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, distributed systems, and debugging
- Experience with modern web stacks (JavaScript + any OOP backend)
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment
- Ability to work hybrid in the DC area (relocation supported)
