Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain high-performance C/C++ software components for Windows and Linux operating systems, including front-end GUI test applications and API wrapper DLLs. Perform hardware/software integration, debugging, and performance optimization while developing test scripts to verify deliverable products. Lead technical design reviews, resolve complex system-level anomalies, and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance. Identify and resolve customer technical issues with software applications and SDKs. Work across the full software development lifecycle from initial requirements to hardware integration and sustainment in a highly regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree)
- Deep proficiency in C/C++
- Strong grasp of scripting languages (like Python or Bash) for automation and data analysis
- Experience developing software for custom FPGA-based hardware
- Familiarity with data buses and communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, ARINC 818, Ethernet)
- 100% onsite in Albuquerque, NM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft DDK, QT and OpenCV
- Experience with MATLAB and LabView
- Embedded S/W and RTOS experience and is a plus
- Understanding of cybersecurity
