Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences - Cupertino, CA, USA

Senior Software Engineer on Speechify's Core Experiences Team, building foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs relevant to different product teams. Deliver solutions via a cross-platform SDK; optimize functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. Ideal candidates think in systems, move quickly, stay focused in a high-growth, remote team, and collaborate with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable) and experience with GCP is a plus. The role offers a US-based salary range of 140,000–200,000 USD/year plus bonus and stock, with Speechify’s emphasis on building products that support people with learning differences and opportunities to impact a transformative industry.
