Job Summary
Build, develop, and scale the platform that empowers real estate professionals, buyers, and sellers using microservices-based architecture. Architect distributed systems leveraging decoupled principles, automated CI/CD, and modern testing to support high-performance applications. Become a domain expert in real estate technology while inspiring, recruiting, and mentoring fellow engineers within an agile development culture. Execute on challenging projects spanning search, authorization, and transaction management to drive business impact. Requires 7+ years of experience with Java, Go, or Python, plus expertise in gRPC, Kafka, and AWS.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested, and high-performance software applications with languages such as Java, Go, or Python
- Experience with gRPC, Thrift, and other server-to-server communication protocols
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven systems
- 3+ years using AWS / cloud technologies
- High proficiency designing and implementing microservices that are well tested, fault tolerant, and scalable
- Understanding and adherence to industry-standard best practices in software development and architecture
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Great communication skills
- Passion for delivering an operational excellence
