Senior Software Engineer Cloud Microservices

Job Summary
Design, develop, and deploy event-driven microservices-based architectures on GCP cloud, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Containerize microservices using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes, while optimizing application performance and troubleshooting issues related to availability and latency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality software solutions through automated CI/CD pipelines. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members to foster continuous improvement. Provide support for the resolution of production problems and offer opinionated reasoning on technology selection for standard patterns.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in design, development, implementation, and support of business technology and/or technical infrastructure
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based microservices architecture
- Proficiency in GCP cloud performance and respective services
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure as code (IaC), such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience using many of the following technologies and concepts is required: Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Modeling using UML Toolsets
- Java, PHP, and/or Python
- Reliable transportation (implied by background check requirement for any convictions directly related to duties)
