Job Summary
Architect application infrastructure spanning cloud ecosystems, AI copilot features, and physics simulation backends. Lead end-to-end development of major features from architecture through deployment and sustainment. Collaborate with the product team to identify and deliver capabilities customers need most. Define and uphold technical standards and long-term system architecture as the product and team grow. This high-ownership role at a seed-stage ECAD SaaS startup focuses on building collaborative, AI-assisted design tooling for hardware engineers in aerospace and defense.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of production systems or large-scale features
- Deep expertise in at least one layer of the stack — frontend frameworks, real-time collaboration, or AI/ML systems
- Proficiency with modern tools including React, TypeScript, and Python
- Strong product intuition and a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environments
- Experience with physics-based modeling and simulation systems
- Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Background in hardware engineering tooling, CAD/ECAD platforms, or aerospace and defense software
- Experience building security-compliant SaaS products (e.g., GovCloud, ITAR, CUI environments)
- Familiarity with real-time collaborative editing architectures (e.g., CRDTs, OT)
