Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer – Claims Solutions role focused on building and owning a slice of the claims platform end-to-end, from requirements through development, QA, and production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver backend (Go/Typescript) and frontend (React) features, design and review technical solutions, maintain code and data models, improve code quality and system reliability, and communicate updates and risks clearly. Role emphasizes delivering fast, frictionless claims experiences, using data-informed decisions, and adhering to applicable policies and regulatory requirements. Location is hybrid in New York City, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience working within software engineering teams
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- 3+ years of relevant production work experience in back-end web development, preferably using Go or Typescript
- 3+ years of relevant production work experience in front-end web development, preferably using React
- Track record of success in terms of ability to execute projects
- A willingness to champion team needs and get involved with strategic decisions.
- Deep understanding of API concepts and designs
- Advanced understanding of SQL
- Familiarity with multiple RDS technologies and their benefits
- Familiarity with modern web infrastructure components (e.g. caching, serverless, API gateways, etc) and how to manage them.
- Understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms, and experience creating and evaluating technical design documents
