Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer for the New York County District Attorney’s Office IT Department. Develop and maintain databases and applications (enterprise-scale) including web (ASP.NET Core) and desktop (WPF) solutions using .NET Core (C#); gather requirements, design screens/workflows, and advance technical solutions to support investigations, prosecution, and case management. Prototype and evaluate designs for applications and databases; incorporate pre-approved code modules; follow standards for documentation, coding, testing, version control, and code review. Supervise junior developers and collaborate with Assistant District Attorneys, investigators, and support staff to ensure timely delivery while multi-tasking across multiple applications. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years of IT project coordination or solution delivery experience, with strong programming in databases, data structures, and algorithms; practical experience with Agile/XP/TDD; proven ability to estimate and meet deliverables; strong communication and self-driven initiative. Evening hours are standard Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, with authorization to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college
- Minimum Five (5) – Ten (10) years of experience in IT project coordination or solution delivery, with demonstrated experience working alongside procurement or vendor management teams
