Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale backend services and cloud infrastructure powering ChargePoint’s EV charging ecosystem. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable microservices and APIs, building distributed systems supporting millions of chargers and users, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define architecture, and ensuring performance, reliability, and security of cloud services. Requires experience with Java/Go/Python, distributed systems, RESTful and event-driven architectures, SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra), Docker/Kubernetes, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Collaborative, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Hybrid in-office work 3 days per week in Campbell, CA.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science
- 5+ years of backend or cloud software engineering
- Strong proficiency in Java, Go, Python
- Distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures
- SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Hybrid in office 3X a week
