Job Summary
Design and implement software features and unit tests for Wi-Fi based on PRPL, integrating mesh networking capabilities on prplMesh/Easymesh and RDK-B/OpenWRT platforms. Develop proof of concepts for emerging technologies while researching new Wi-Fi standards. Debug and resolve field issues regarding client connectivity, roaming, stability, and interoperability in collaboration with silicon vendors. This role requires over five years of experience in embedded system software development with strong C/C++ skills. Located in India with a flexible hybrid model including 20 days in the Bangalore office per quarter.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent
- Over 5 years of experience in embedded system software development
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Strong understanding of Wi-Fi technologies including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be etc.
- Extensive experience with WPA supplicant, Hostapd, and Radius protocol
- Extensive experience with IP networking and a good knowledge of TCP/IP
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on innovation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
- Self-starter who strives for results and continual improvement
- Must work well independently and as part of a team
- Location: India – (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)

Desired Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of the 802.11 protocol suite and WLAN technology
- Experience on Qualcomm, Broadcom, Maxlinear platform etc.
- Experience on Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 (including MLO / 802.11be features)
- Hands-on experience with prplMesh/Easymesh, IEEE 1905.1, and 802.11s mesh networking, including Easymesh R5/R6 certification
- Experience with RDK-B, prplOS, and/or OpenWRT gateway software stacks
- Familiarity with Yocto build systems and embedded Linux kernel/driver development
