Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8+ years of progressive systems engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM discipline
- Expert-level proficiency with Ubuntu OS, RHEL 7+, and modern Linux distributions
- Kubernetes & Containers: building, managing, and scaling Kubernetes; experience with CNI, CRI, CSI plugins (Portworx, Cilium, Ceph); Istio service mesh; software-defined storage (Rook-Ceph)
- Automation & IaC: Advanced expertise in Ansible and Terraform; GitOps workflows; CI/CD (Jenkins); configuration management (Redfish, cloud-init)
- Virtualization: VMware management within automated environments
- Proficiency in Python, Golang, or Bash for building IaC tooling and RESTful integrations
- Core Infrastructure: DNS, LDAP, and RADIUS protocols
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, or InfluxDB for proactive alerting and uptime
- Agile & Version Control: Jira/Confluence; Git workflows; Sprint leadership
- Datacenter Leadership: physical datacenter lifecycle management including racking, stacking, and cabling
