Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-volume billing systems; lead projects from concept to production; implement data-driven improvements to performance and billing accuracy; partner with Product and Business stakeholders; leverage AI coding tools to review and improve AI-generated code; foster engineering excellence and reliability across the billing domain.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining production systems
- Strong backend fundamentals; Python is the primary language
- Proven experience owning systems in production, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance and reliability improvements
- Familiar with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, deployment pipelines, observability, and quality assurance (unit, integration testing)
- Experience with AWS and storage at scale (MySQL, Snowflake, Redis)
- A proactive attitude and a passion for providing technical solutions that bring an immediate business impact and ensure engineering excellence
- Familiarity with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch (nice to have)
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Airflow, Kafka, Delta Lake, etc (nice to have)
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms (nice to have)
- Background in billing / ERP systems (nice to have)
