Senior Software Engineer (back-end)

Job Summary
Join the product development team to deliver features from concept through release, collaborating with leads to turn client requirements into shipped solutions. Work on mission-critical applications for a specialized financial market, building both cloud-based SaaS and on-premises systems while proposing and implementing ideas rather than simply executing tickets. Contribute to a small team where knowledge sharing is natural, gaining exposure to frontend, backend, services, and integrations while strengthening expertise in convertible bond domain knowledge. This role offers a structured onboarding plan with early codebase contributions and architectural understanding, situated within a flat-structured organization entering a scale-up phase to digitize the convertibles market.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
- Strong foundation in programming, data structures, and algorithms
- Strong experience with major object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, C++, or similar
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as SQL or similar
- Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance back-end architectures
- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale messaging platforms
- Knowledge of multithreaded programming
- Solid understanding of internet technologies such as TCP/IP and HTTP
- Good understanding of the full software development life cycle
- Familiarity with service-oriented design and related technologies, including web services, REST, JSON, and GraphQL
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
- Ability to use tracing and logging tools to diagnose and resolve production issues quickly
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field from a leading institution
