Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer focused on architecture and algorithms, you will define the software architecture and design the core measurement, data-analysis, and signal/image-processing algorithms powering Filmetrics’ family of surface profiler, thin film, sheet resistance, and nanoindentation instruments. You will develop C#/.NET and C++ software for data analysis and algorithm implementation, write maintainable code, and help evolve system requirements and interfaces. You’ll prototype, benchmark, and analyze algorithms for accuracy and performance, build robust unit/integration tests, participate in design reviews, and troubleshoot issues. Travel is expected to be less than 10% of working time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Significant relevant experience in Computer Science, Software, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- Experience with Microsoft .NET languages including VB.NET and C#
- C++ programming
- Strong foundation in algorithms and numerical methods
