Job Summary
Design and develop code for complex software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices. Develop software documentation and test procedures, then troubleshoot a variety of difficult software problems and define bug fixes. Design and implement these fixes while establishing software specifications and test plans for simulators, test benches, or the lab. Communicate with internal and external customers for requirement analysis, project schedule management, and software troubleshooting. This role involves leveraging expertise in intricate systems to ensure quality and functionality across Applied Materials' cutting-edge equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, computer science, information management, software/system engineering, cyber security or mathematics
- 4–7 years of related experience
- Proficiency and experience in C/C++, Operating Systems, Networking principles, Algorithms, Multi-threading, RPC
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices, key business drivers, and how your area of expertise integrates with others
- Leadership skills to lead small projects as needed
