Job Summary
Scale distributed applications using synchronous and asynchronous design patterns to deliver high-volume, 24x7 user-centric software. Lead technical execution of complex features by breaking ambiguous requirements into actionable milestones, designing scalable component architectures, and driving best engineering practices through rigorous code reviews and technical design documents. Balance tactical execution with long-term technical debt management while leveraging AI tools to boost productivity across the SDLC. Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to negotiate trade-offs and ensure on-time delivery of large-scale, company-wide critical programs.
Required Qualifications
- BS (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
- 2+ years of industry experience
Desired Qualifications
- BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in designing and building infrastructure and web services at large scale
- Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Proven coding skills in Python or JavaScript/AJAX, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming
- Experience building web applications and services with IDEs, ant, junit, etc.
- Experience with relational databases (transactional and non-transactional), database architecture, and distributed transaction management
- Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and leading small to mid-sized project teams
- Deep expertise in system design, data modeling, concurrency patterns, and performance tuning at scale
- Proven track record of transforming ambiguous business opportunities into autonomous agentic systems capable of long-horizon reasoning and decision-making
