Job Summary
Research, design, develop, test, and implement software operating or application systems while interpreting functional and non-functional requirements into code. Mentor junior engineers on risk management, technical feedback, and project delivery to ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-scope outcomes. Act as a lead or consultant for teams, identifying technical risks, dependencies, and system problems to minimize restoration time. Communicate project status to clients and management, maintain documentation, and contribute to the university education platform's efficiency and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 6 years of experience in software development
- Experience in web-based applications and web services using Java, REST, ServiceNow, and other web technologies
- Experience interfacing with databases
- Experience integrating third party products with existing infrastructure
- Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements
- Equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education
- This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%
- required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year)
- Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed
- Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
