Job Summary

Lead development of high-quality native mobile applications by designing solutions in partnership with architecture, product, design, DevOps, and security teams. Drive complex technical initiatives that balance short-term needs with long-term strategy while contributing to architectural direction and code quality through rigorous reviews. Mentor developers and apply modern AI-enabled engineering practices, including agentic AI and spec-driven development, to accelerate innovation and improve delivery workflows. Demonstrate strong business knowledge to make decisions aligned with the firm's strategic priorities and Global Distribution Technology standards. This role supports key client experiences within the financial services industry, requiring deep expertise in Android development and Kotlin. Hybrid work is available up to three days per week.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of progressive experience in native mobile and Android application development
Strong knowledge of current Android platform capabilities, Google Play Store requirements, and mobile development best practices
Proven experience supporting the full Android application lifecycle, including development, testing, release, and post-production support
Strong proficiency in designing and developing Android applications using Android SDK, Kotlin, and Coroutines
Experience building modern user interfaces with Jetpack Compose and MVVM architecture
Experience developing multi-threaded, networked mobile applications
Experience integrating third-party libraries, SDKs, and APIs
Experience working with remote data through RESTful APIs and JSON
Working knowledge of the broader mobile landscape, including architecture patterns, trends, and emerging technologies
Experience working within Agile or Scrum-based software development environments
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, feedback, and code quality through practices such as peer reviews
