Job Summary
Upgrade legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET 8, containerize workloads, and modernize user interfaces using Blazor and Angular. Refactor codebases for maintainability, collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment strategies, and ensure seamless database integration with ADO.NET and micro-ORMs. Act as a technical mentor to junior developers and drive architectural discussions on microservices and API-first design. This role involves shaping enterprise architecture for Allstate's property and casualty insurance products, focusing on cloud-native and cross-platform strategies without supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional .NET development experience
- Strong expertise in .NET Framework (4.x) and .NET 8
- Hands-on experience with Windows Services, Console Apps, and Web Forms
- Proven experience with Blazor (Server/Web Assembly) and Angular (2+)
- Proficiency in ADO.NET and micro-ORMs like Dapper
- Strong background in application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with SQL Server (or equivalent relational databases)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to MAUI (.NET Multi-platform App UI) for cross-platform app modernization
- Knowledge of modern authentication frameworks (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
- Prior experience leading large-scale modernization/transformation projects
