Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer role focused on owning and advancing the core investor platform for a Global Asset Management Company. Hands-on, frontend-leaning full-stack engineer responsible for building, hardening, and scaling a Next.js 15+ application serving external investors and internal teams worldwide. Core stack includes Next.js 15+, React, Node.js, Vercel, and Auth0 with MongoDB and Tailwind CSS; experience with routing, Server Actions, data fetching, caching, and performance-driven, production-grade solutions. Requires 5+ years of experience, strong written and spoken English, and ability to collaborate with London-based stakeholders. Preference for candidates with hedge fund or investment banking experience in complex financial systems. The role is based in Hong Kong with alternatives in Singapore and includes opportunities to engage with AI tools (Claude Code) to review and validate code while maintaining critical engineering judgment. This is a genuine ownership role that supports global timezone coverage and close coordination with Asian stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience
- Strong commercial production experience with React and Next.js across full application
- MongoDB experience (schema design, indexing, query efficiency)
- Auth0 or modern authentication patterns
- Strong English communication skills
- Hedge fund/investment banking or complex financial systems background preferred
