Job Summary
Design and develop full-stack software solutions across platforms, leading technical projects with architectural decisions that ensure scalability, security, and performance. Take part in the entire development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, balancing speed with robustness while researching and applying new technologies to solve complex engineering challenges. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and device engineers, and mentor junior engineers to foster technical growth and knowledge-sharing. Contribute to a culture of innovation by driving technical improvements and shaping the future of security solutions within Alarm.com's access control platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong object-oriented programming skills
- Experience with database design and development (SQL Server preferred)
- Proficiency in developing backend services and APIs
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging technologies
- Experience working with IoT, hardware, or embedded systems
