Job Summary
Develop and maintain software packaged into Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) products while adhering to high-maturity software engineering standards. Maintain documentation, work instructions, and participate in agile processes including daily standups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming. Collaborate with integrated engineering teams to design, develop, integrate, and test operational software components throughout the development lifecycle using C/C++ and Unix/Linux environments. This role supports the development of safety-of-life systems for multinational civil and military aviation customers.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience (for candidates with Advanced Degree)
- Experience developing, integrating, testing and validating software components in an Unix/Linux environment
- Experience with the complete software development lifecycle using C/C++
- Onsite work location
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Experience with Agile methodologies and GIT
- Experience in software testing or debugging source code
- Experience with containerization technologies ( ex. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
