Senior Software Engineer - AI responsible for leading backend feature delivery using C#/.NET, designing REST/GraphQL APIs, mentoring engineers, and shaping engineering practices. Must design scalable, secure APIs with proper documentation, decompose complex problems into milestones, and collaborate with product, QA, and leads. Strong emphasis on code quality, testing, and maintainability, with experience in relational data stores, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core)
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs with versioning, authentication, and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Strong fundamentals in software design, debugging, and maintainable coding practices
- Experience with relational data stores (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework Core)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) including deploying and operating .NET services
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery and mentor others
- Experience participating in estimation and sprint planning
- Proficiency with Git and Jira
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Growth mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Nice to Have: Experience with AI tools, message brokers (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka), microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, gRPC or GraphQL, API gateways, CI/CD
