Job Summary
Design, develop, and oversee the enterprise search infrastructure by employing vector databases, full-text search engines, and relational database techniques. Develop deep learning-based NLP algorithms to analyze and reformulate search queries, then implement and deploy ranking algorithms to deliver relevant results. Evaluate algorithm accuracy against key metrics and track end-to-end system performance to lead improvement initiatives. Stay informed on industry developments to align the search system with or advance beyond current benchmarks. This role requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or a PhD, with 5+ years of experience in search and recommendation systems.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Computer Science, or a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in search, recommendation or question answering systems
- In-depth knowledge of relevance measurement, tuning, and modeling
- Engineering experience with large language models and RAG systems
- Expertise in Python and/or C++
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities
- meticulous attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills to explain complex concepts convincingly to non-technical team members
- Abilities to contribute individually while functioning effectively as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- PhD a plus
- Familiarity with embedding-based search systems
