Job Summary
Founding Software Engineer on Box's Core Agents platform team to build and scale the agent-driven capabilities of Box AI. Own core components and a multi-tenant control plane that enforces isolation, fair resource allocation, and per-tenant SLAs across agent workloads. Collaborate with ML engineers to translate requirements into scalable capabilities on LangGraph; design agent and tool repositories, observability, and CI/CD pipelines; contribute to cross-team initiatives, and help establish patterns, SDKs, and best practices for agent development. Responsibilities include building the core platform powering AI agents for content understanding, automation, and orchestration across enterprise systems, enabling rapid, secure, and reliable agent deployment with low latency and high throughput. Qualifications emphasize distributed systems, software infrastructure, and familiarity with LangGraph/LangChain, Kubernetes, and cloud ML platforms; this role also involves on-call rotations and mentorship within the AI Platform organization.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in computer science, machine learning or related field
- Familiarity with at least one object oriented language like C, C++, Java, Scala
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures & algorithms, platform architecture
