Job Summary
Build systems with a constant focus on testing, reliability, scalability, and maintainability by designing, modeling, and programming in a variety of languages and technologies. Drive projects to completion while working on legacy code as well as green field development, and provide on-call support as needed. Learn and promote new technologies with a focus on best practices, sometimes collaborating alongside other developers on the same task. The role emphasizes rapid deployment, automated testing, and cohesive service architectures within a mature codebase environment. Familiarity with server-side development, micro-service architectures, JVM, and domain-driven design is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Multiple years of server side development
- A solid understanding of micro-service architectures and CAP theorem
- A good understanding of functional paradigms and type theory
- Confident JVM knowledge
- Java 8 awareness alongside understanding how to use java.util.concurrent
- Proficiency in domain driven design and domain modeling
- Exposure to linux, ansible, nginx, webpack, git, or rabbitmq
- Working knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of financial concepts or exchange trading
